here is my freshly finished 1/48 Hobby Boss Me262A-1A.
I used the Me262A-1A/U2 kit, bought from MJW models for a tenner! I wanted to model the A-1A day fighter, so I just used the bits I needed from the kit, everything you need for a day fighter is in the kit. I omitted installing all the internal guns, radio, compass and oxygen gubbins to save time. Modifications made were really only the removal of the front gear oleo 'scissor' and addition of some cabling in the main gear bay. Fit was overall very good, no major dramas with little filling.
I used the excellent Quickboost Revi 16B gunsights, EagleCal decals (EC29), Eduard seat belts.
Scratched bits were the brake line from copper wire, canopy wire (hair fine copper wire), antenna wire (hair is perfect for this), the Morane antenna under the wing was made from a pin and the fine copper wire.
I used Humbrol Enamels for the RLM 66 (Hu67), RLM 81 (Hu98), RLM 82 (117) and RLM 83 (Hu116). The undersides were Xtracolour RLM 76 and the RLM 02 was also Xtracolour. Wash was Promodeller Dark Dirt. I also used Humbrol Clear Cote Matt for the final finish.
The wing nav lights are the only part I kind of wish I'd spent the time to remove the solid plastic and shape and insert some clear plastic with a drilled out 'lightbulb'. Cest la vie.

That is a great looking plane, the wash really makes the underside stand out,

Thanks Josh,
It's a great kit and goes together really well. I'm really happy with the effect of the wash, and it's really easy to use.
