Affixing canopies, PE and other non-structural items
Here are some methods and things to use INSTEAD of polystyrene glue or Cyanoacrylate(CA - Superglue) to glue canopies to airframes, or affix bits to canopies (such as Photo Etch(PE) mirrors etc).
Try using some PVA 'white glue', it is easy to apply and dries clear and will create a good bond for a non-structural item. It is easy to clean up with a damp cotton bud and won't affect local plastic or paint. PVA can also be used to fill small gaps as it doesn't shrink too much.
Next, try using clear nail varnish. This will dry clear, so perfect for canopies. It will also allow a greater 'fudge factor' than when using superglue, so you'll be able to adjust parts and it won't fog up the canopy.
Hope that helps!
