How did you get into modelling?
Wow, a lot of stuff gotta be done, and I completely agree. Figures are very time consuming to paint, the reason I got into modelling was by painting tons of Warhammer 40k figures with my friend which eventually led to the Airfix because it is cheaper and in my opinion more enjoyable

I also got into modelling through Warhammer, airfix is much more enjoyable though, and cheaper

I got my first model in a Christmas stocking when I was about 6. I sort of picked up with modelling (mostly aircraft, usually 1/72) when I was 8 or 9. I stopped for a while but picked up in a big way in 2011. Now I model 1/48 planes and I have two sneaky 1/35 Panzers to build too.
I've never built Warhammer as I am not good at painting figures, but I've heard Games Workshop is the best place to go for tutorials.
